The Art of Cooking With Honey

This year for my birthday, I received an unexpected abundance of Louisiana honey from friends and family. I have a stash of honey in my pantry from my brother and sister-in-law who are bee keepers in Texas, and I was able to add my birthday gifts to their generous stash. Honey has always felt like more than just an ingredient to me. It carries flavor, season, memory and place all in one jar. Each jar in my pantry has a unique flavor and I use honey regularly in my cooking. I enjoy exploring the many ways honey can balance and transform a dish.

From vibrant hibiscus sangria to herb goat cheese spread, here’s a collection of my recipes that celebrate the art of cooking with honey. Let me know how you use honey to bring a little sweetness to your table. Share your photos and comments with me below and on Instagram @y_delicacies
