Cooking Class at The Southern Curator
Last week I had the joy of hosting my Party Food: From Mardi Gras to Game Night cooking class at The Southern Curator—and what a beautiful day it was in Covington.
We were blessed with gorgeous weather, a fantastic turnout, and the most enthusiastic group of attendees. There’s nothing I love more than a room full of people gathered around good food—asking questions, sharing stories, tasting as we go, and learning how to make entertaining feel joyful instead of stressful.
During class, I shared a lineup of pickup snacks and party favorites perfect for everything from Mardi Gras celebrations to Mahjong, bunco, and cozy game nights. We talked through my favorite prep-ahead tips, easy serving ideas, and simple ways to host with confidence. My goal is always to help you spend less time in the kitchen and more time at the table.
The setting couldn’t have been more charming. The boutique was beautifully decorated for Valentine’s Day and Mardi Gras, filled with thoughtfully curated Southern maker gifts and treasures. Guests even received a special shopping discount, making the day feel like both a cooking class and a little celebration.
The photos from the day capture it all—hands busy in the kitchen, smiles around the table, thoughtful questions being asked, and our happy group gathered together at the end. I’m so grateful to everyone who came out and to Southern Curator for hosting such a warm and welcoming event.
Here’s to more gatherings, more good food, and more reasons to celebrate together.
