Stormin' of the Sazerac Book Signing Friday September 28, 2018

It’s that time of year in New Orleans for the Stormin’ of the Sazerac at the Waldorf Astoria’s Roosevelt Hotel in New Orleans!  This one-of-a-kind celebration pays tribute to the women who stormed the Sazerac Bar in 1949 demanding equality and a stiff drink, rendering the Sazerac Bar to be the first bar in New Orleans to allow women on days other than Mardi Gras. “Stormin of the Sazerac” encompasses libations, cuisine and entertainment. I’ll be at the hotel’s Emporium Gift Shop for a book signing with tasty samples. I hope to see you there Friday September 28th 10am-until the celebration ends!

Ladies are invited to dress in post-war New Orleans style, such as hats, veils, peep-toe shoes and gloves. Doors to the world famous Blue Room open at 1pm, and the celebration begins with the traditional ladies lunch at 1:30pm. Live entertainment will be provided, and the event will feature a fashion show showcasing vintage 1940's style with a best-dressed competition.
