It’s a dreary day today and this is the kind of day where I could get lost for hours surrounded by books. There’s a book store in New York City that entertains me for hours on any given day. Bonnie Slotnick Cookbooks is a gem filled with out-of-print and antiquarian cookbooks. She has hosted book signings featuring my cookbook, My South Texas Kitchen and I couldn’t have had a lovelier time in her shop. Bonnie is filled with cookbook knowledge, and her customers are the best. I always enjoy meeting all of you. I especially enjoy sharing recipe ideas and hearing about your culinary journey. It’s exciting to see so many young adults from around the world perusing cookbooks together and gathering recipe inspiration. Your curiosity and enthusiasm about cooking inspires me. I discovered that I am not the only one that leaves this shop with a stack of cookbooks. Enjoy this video by CBS2 about Bonnie and the shop.
