All Things Crawfish

When you walk near a pot of boiling crawfish, the air is filled with steamy wafts of the spicy aroma billowing from the pot. Each family has their favorite seasoning that fills the air. Each family also has their favorite added ingredients that soak up the spices from the well seasoned boiling water. Common add-in ingredients include corn, potatoes, sausage, garlic, lemon. Unique add-ins include artichokes, green beans, hotdogs, pineapple, Brussels sprouts, jalapeños, chicken wings, boudin, sweet potatoes and broccoli. The leftovers usually include a few extra pounds of crawfish and a variety of veggies the were tossed into the boil. What’s one to do with all those crawfish that are leftover from a crawfish boil? After you’ve peeled the leftover tails, toss them into one of my following recipes for a treat that everyone will enjoy. Share your leftover creations with me on Instagram at y_delicacies.

Enjoy a crawfish tart with a phyllo crust with your leftover crawfish. My recipe is fun to make as you’ll make the crust with butter brushed phyllo sheets that are layered and gathered into a flaky crust before adding a creamy crawfish filling.

The fabulous blend of flavors in Crawfish Bread will transport you right into jazz fest and this popular booth in the food area.

Crawfish Deviled Eggs are a crowd favorite and a great use for all of those leftover crawfish tails.

My Crawfish Cheesecake incorporates more than just the crawfish that are leftover from your crawfish boil. Try this savory cheesecake for a most flavorful treat.
