Halloween Recipes for Snacking While Handing Out Treats

As soon as the kids get home from school it’s full speed ahead on Halloween night. You’ll want the family to eat dinner before the sugar storm, but it’s not always easy on this fast paced night. Try having dinner as you graze throughout the evening with these make-ahead snack recipes. As you gather with neighbors at the end of the driveway to celebrate this spooky holiday you must have something to snack on other than Halloween candy. Here are some of my favorite recipes for your snacking adventure whether it be on Halloween night with the neighbors or added to the menu of a festive costume party.

If you’re carving pumpkins don’t throw away those seeds! You’ll love these Roasted Pumpkin Seeds as a snack, but you’ll also enjoy them in salads and on top of soup!

You won’t be able to stop at one handful of this Manchego Truffle Popcorn. It’s that good!

Don’t even thinks about leaving these Crawfish Deviled Eggs off of the snack table!

What’s creamy, flavorful and always a favorite dip? Black-Eyed Pea Hummus of course!

If there’s hummus in the area, there must also be Lavash! Beware…this flatbread is additive!

Party Thyme Chicken Wings because everyone loves marinade-ahead chicken wings!

If there’s a chill in the air you’ll definitely want to have a warming soup! This make-ahead Pozole Rojo tastes even better after sitting in the refrigerator for a day or two. Serve with a variety of toppings and everyone will enjoy their customized pozle.

You know Halloween is right around the corner when Cajun Tac Tac Balls are being prepared.

These chocolate truffles are basically a rich and creamy adult candy. They’re always a party fave and can be coated with seasonal toppings.
