The nonprofit Texas Book Festival connects authors and readers through experiences that celebrate the culture of literacy, ideas and imagination. The TBF, founded in 1995 by First Lady Laura Bush, Margaret Farabee and a dedicated group of volunteers is now one of the nation’s premier annual literary events. The festival set out to honor Texas authors, promote the joys of reading and benefits the state’s public libraries.

Yvette Zuniga Jemison is a recipe developer, food photographer, and the IACP award-winning author of My South Texas Kitchen. As a recipe developer and content creator, she produced seasonal campaigns, product launches, and cooking videos for leading brands such as Zatarain's® Brands and The Galley® Brands.
